The F-16 Fighting Falcon is the U.S. Air Force’s first multi-role fighter aircraft. It is highly maneuverable and has the ability to switch between an air-to-ground and an air-to-air role at the touch of a button. It can accurately locate targets and deliver ordnance in all weather conditions, including during nonvisual bombing conditions. The F-16 combines a light fuselage with strength. Even with its decreased weight, it is still capable of withstanding nine Gs and was one of the first aircraft able to withstand higher G-forces than its pilots.
